61E8C724-D583-4DD5-AFF0-2894C8951128

Start: mile 63

End: tentsite at mile 91

Miles covered: 28

PCT mile marker: 91/2652

Highlight:  Beautiful desert flora

Biggest challenge:  long, exposed, hot climb after Scissors Crossing…

…but it was all made better by wonderful trail angels Jodie and Melody, who were there with candy, cookies, chips, sodas, fruit, and veggies. They also had a foot repair station, a hand washing station, and a great dog to love on. Thank you so much!

  1. Looks like you are really moving on. Be careful out there especially in the heat of the day. Many years ago I did the desert survival school with the US Army and, while amazing, was one of the more grueling assignment’s I ever undertook. Be Careful and Be Safe Out There ! Hardcharger

    1. Yeah, there are sections that are quite exposed, so many of us take long breaks in the afternoon. Thankfully the weather has been moderate so far.
