Highlight: My pack is getting lighter as I devour the contents of my food bag. Now when I leave a town with what I think is too much food, I still somehow manage to eat it all.
Biggest challenge: My shirt reeks. It’s made of synthetic materials, so it doesn’t handle odor as well as the lightweight wool shirts I usually like to wear. I should be able to rinse it out more often when I reach the Sierra section, where there is an abundance of water.
